lauren-gerard-wedding-buderim    “We got the photos Chaddy!!! They are absolutely amazing thanks so much for everything you did! We had dinner with my parents last night and we all looked at them on the TV. =) everyone loved them. You are amazing! =P ” – Lauren & Gerard

Lauren & Gerard had the most beautiful backyard wedding in Buderim, Sunshine Coast (the stunning bride & bridesmaids feature on our homepage banner). They even had their wedding photo featured in the Sunshine Coast Daily Newspaper  for being model bio-medical science graduates with super-high-unbelievable-GPA scores – amazingggg. We drove around the Buderim area together a few weeks before their wedding and decided that the family property was so spectacular that we had no reason to leave for photos. It’s funny, I often get asked if I’m a friend or family at weddings- probably because I love mingling and later everyone ends up on my Facebook friends list. I’m obviously not family, unless your imagination extends to the thought of either Lauren or Gerard’s family adopting an Asian-Kiwi kid, but as cliche as it sounds, I felt just like family at Lauren & Gerard’s wedding. I’m so lucky to have met so many caring, thoughtful and beautiful people that day. And what a beautiful day it was. Thank you!

I really wish I could show you every photo, but all you really need to see is that the coolest cats sit on Table 8 😛 20140519 Lauren Gerard jpeg 5PINIMAGE

When Michelle & Traill told me that their wedding venue couldn’t be found easily via GPS, I knew it was going to be amazing (in fact, it was so new that I couldn’t even google the place). So, I made the trip over to Toowoomba a few months before their wedding to check out Adora Downs at Mt. Tyson. I ended up staying for tea and chatting the afternoon away with the owner, Michael who kindly showed me around the place including a converted old school bus that he built into the reception venue – we found wild kangaroos on the property too! I just had the best time photographing Michelle & Traill’s wedding. I stayed the night, along with all the guests and woke up to a beautiful buffet breakfast! Thanks for having me! P.S. Michelle’s talented mother is a florist and created all the floral designs.

On the way back from photographing the boys getting ready in the morning, the engine of my car decided to spontaneously combust right in the middle of the Warrego Highway. Luckily I was only 100m away from the wedding venue and was rescued by two lovely gentlemen from the wedding (thank you, thank you). I had to ditch my car on the side of the road at the risk of “someone being able to tow it away without notice”, as I was told by the kind police officer. There were much more important things to worry about – such as capturing this absolutely fantastic wedding. I have many people to thank. Firstly, I have to thank the love of my life Kaerlin, along with our friend Boz who came all the way from Brisbane to wait for the tow-truck with me after the wedding at midnight. And then, of course, Casey’s father who made sure I was not venturing out into the wilderness on my own. Finally, a million hugs and kisses to Yollie & Casey for inviting me to stay with them over the weekend to celebrate their love. Without further ado, this is Casey & Yollie’s big day.

This lavender themed styled wedding shoot for Eco Brides Magazine was recently featured in Simply Peachy. I’m excited to finally be able to publish these photos. Thank you to all the talented vendors involved, and especially Blue Ridge Lavender Farm for providing us with this stunning backdrop. We’ll be exhibiting at the Eco Brides Wedding Fair Sunday 25 August, 2013 at the Old Museum.
